Community Access Services celebrated National Latino AIDS Awareness Day with an event titled 'Noche de Ritmo' in 2013.  Check out the gallery below for photos from that event!

Latinos account for 20% of all new HIV infections while representing approximately 16% of the total US population, according to the CDC’s most recent data. The HIV infection rate among Latinos in 2009 was nearly three times as high as that of whites (HIV Among Latinos, CDC 2011).

For the past eleven years, the National Latino AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD) campaign has promoted awareness about the ongoing effect of HIV/AIDS on Hispanic/Latino communities.  The Buffalo NLAAD Committee--of which Community Access Services is a member agency-- has been active since the campaign’s inception to provide education about HIV prevention and access to testing services among Latinos in Buffalo and Western New York.
