Who We Are

Community Access Services (CAS) is a non-profit organization that helps communities of color in Buffalo and Erie Country access healthcare. Our programs can help you learn about HIV, HIV treatment, and safer sex practices. We can also help you find and get into primary medical care, mental health counseling, substance use counseling and more.

Our Approach

We will work with you to help set and meet wellness goals. We will help you feel empowered to take control of your health. If you have questions about health services, are nervous about getting into care, or just want to talk—we’re here for you. We never judge.

The Harm Reduction Model

Community Access Services uses a Harm Reduction model.

To us, Harm Reduction means that you are in charge of your own life. We believe that only you can make choices and changes in your life. We want to help you set and reach goals, but we will never force you to do or be anything you are not in order to come to CAS. You can count on us to be:

Non-Judgmental
You are welcome at Evergreen. No matter what’s going on in your life, we won’t judge you.

Affirming
We know that you are the change-maker in your life and we’ll celebrate all positive change—big and small—that you make.

Educational
We want you to have all the tools that you need to make positive choices. We’ll give you information and support so that you can make your own choices and set your own goals.

Understanding
We know that every person is different. The challenges that you face every day are important to us. We’ll support you as you face challenges and work with you to find solutions.

Community Access Services is an affiliate of Evergreen Health. Evergreen Health and its affiliates all utilize a Harm Reduction Model.
